WMI WFA Course Terms agreement

No refunds will be given in cases of enrollee's failure to read, or understand these policies. If you have questions, ask prior to enrolling.

To proceed with course registration, you must read and agree to the following:

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: If you need to cancel for any reason:

-If you can find someone else to attend in your place, your enrollment is transferable to another person at no charge. No tuition cost will be refunded.
-If you want us to find another person to attend in your place, and we can actually find someone, you will be refunded the tuition minus a $50 administrative fee.
-If you can not and we can not find another person to attend in your place, there is no refund.
-If we are forced to cancel the course for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

Transferring to a different course is not permitted. The same cancellation terms apply.

If you are recertifying as a WFR, WAFA or WEMT, you must also agree to recertification conditions. If you are not recertifying, this section does not apply to you.

WFR recertification: If you hold a current WFR, WEMT or WAFA certification from WMI, SOLO, NOLS, OpEPA, WMA or WPT, you will receive a WMI certification at the same level upon successful completion of the WFA course. (Note: this WFA course only recertifies the Wilderness component of a WEMT certification. )

If you hold a similar certification from any other wilderness medicine organization you will receive a WMI WFA certification plus letter of course completion. This letter of completion may allow you to recertify with your original certifying organization at your previous certification level. You must contact that organization prior to your WMI course to ensure that our course will meet their requirements for recertification.

All recert students with certifications other than WMI are required to submit a photocopy of their WFR certification card or certificate.

Students recertifying at all levels above WFA are required to pass a practical examination on day two of the course.

There is a one-year grace period for recertification of WMI cards. (Keep in mind that your certification is not current during this grace period and therefore you can not work as a Wilderness First Responder.)

No refunds will be given if WMI can not issue recertification due to failure of the student, or enrollee's failure to read, or understand this policy.

Only personal credit cards in the name of the enrollee are accepted. No third party payments accepted, including company credit cards issued to enrollee.
